All of our timber outbuildings are versatile and ready to be whatever you want them to be. Sometimes they can have multiple uses at the same time. This was the case for a customer in Surrey, who wanted a new timber building that would be both a secure garage and a functioning workshop.
The client required a place to store his cars and motorcycles, and so Passmores delivered a space that would be comfortably large enough. It was decided that garage doors in the side wall elevation would work best on the site alongside a slate roof thanks to its durability and similarity to the roof covering on the customers house. Fibre cement slate was chosen to give the roof a more modern look, which is in line with the client’s aesthetic choices and which is considerably cheaper than natural slate.
Once Passmores had built the structure, the client was able to line and insulate the walls and ceiling, decorate and organise the electrics. The outside was stained white to tie the building with other sheds and outbuildings elsewhere on the site. For added security the client installed an alarm, exterior lighting and Sold Secure Gold Standard padlocks to the doors.
The Results
The client was thrilled with the standards of workmanship Passmores put into this project, and loved his new workshop and garage. With Passmores work standing the test of time, the client will be able to enjoy working in the space for decades to come.
