Coronavirus Statement

Throughout the pandemic we have applied the government guidance relating to COVID-19 safe working practices in factories, offices and in relation to construction work. These practices have been incorporated, to the best of our ability, into our own working procedures and we believe that we offer a COVID-19 secure workplace to our employees.

All our staff are temperature checked daily before starting work and have been trained by our H & S consultants in COVID-19 secure procedures. Our factory is fully signed and floor marked to indicate social distancing requirements. Hand sanitisers, antibacterial handwash, wipes and sprays are made available to all employees and their use is continually encouraged. Our site teams have been trained to minimise contact with clients and to observe 2m social distancing at all times.

As of 12 April 2021 our sales office and showground are open to the general public once again. If you are visiting Passmores, please observe the required hygiene and social distancing measures. You must wear a face covering if you enter the sales office.

We hope that the above will assure you that Passmores is a COVID-19 safe environment.

Thank you for your continuing support and stay safe.

Frequently Asked Questions

This will usually depend on the size, height and location of the proposed new building.

If you are positioning the building close to a boundary or in front of the building line of your home when viewed from the road, then planning consent is usually required.

If the building is to be behind the house, more than 2.0m from a boundary and provided the ridge height is less than 4.0m, then you may not need permission, assuming it is for non business use. Most garden sheds and chalets therefore do not need local authority permission.

However, if you live in a listed property or within a conservation area then planning permission is nearly always required.

The Government Planning Portal www.planningportal.gov.uk contains a wealth of additional information and includes an interactive guide covering most circumstances.
