We were contacted by a customer who required a premium timber building that would accommodate all his machines and gardening equipment needed to maintain his property grounds.

For this project, we embraced the traditional style of timber building that the customer was looking for, as he wanted seamless continuity with the rest of his property. He chose a double garage with one side dedicated to tractor and quad bike parking, and the other side dedicated to storage and workshop space for maintenance.

Entrance doors were positioned in the gable end for easy access, and a felt roof covering was specified to keep the costs down.    Our felt roof garages have trussed rafters at 600mm centres which makes for an incredibly strong roof, these rafters are covered with a 15mm thick roof deck and the felt is secured to the deck with stainless steel staples and bitumen is also applied at joins. Felt not only looks great but the modern high performance felt that we use offers excellent value for money and has a good service life with little maintenance.

Once the timber garden building was installed, the client brush applied an off-white wood stain to the outside and black detailing to the hinges. This matched in with other outbuildings on the property, making it look like this had always been there.

The result

Our client uses his Passmores building daily and it has proved large enough to suit his requirements. The building is now a few years old and the customer is still impressed with the standard of workmanship Passmores put into the project and the sturdiness of the building.
At Passmores, we are privileged to be able to work in beautiful locations like these around the country, for clients who truly care about quality, finish, and premium workmanship.
