Wall Framing: 38 x 75 head and sole plates and studs at 0.6m centres. Framing doubles at panel joints, loose box door hinge posts and at corners to provide compound posts.
Wall Cladding: 16 x 125 t&g planed redwood shiplap fixed with rust resistant ringshanked round wire nails.
Dpc: 75mm bitumen dpc fitted under sole plate.
Kicking Boards: 12mm structural quality exterior grade WBP Finnish spruce plywood to EN636-2 to 1.22m height in loose boxes.
Partitions: 38 x 75 frame clad one side to eaves with 12mm plywood of same specification as kicking boards.
Roof Truss: Trusses by specialist manufacturer constructed to BS5268, Part III.
Roof Purlins: 47 x 100 purlins span between trusses at 0.6m centres and are fixed with pressed metal saddle hangers.
Roof Covering: Onduline black PP and pc steel ridge cap are fixed to purlins with PE nails. One translucent roof sheet is supplied per compartment.
Canopy: The 0.9m wide roof canopy is integral with the main roof.
Treatment: All timber components are immersed/drenched in golden brown wood preservative.
Ventilation: The louvered ventilator incorporated above the window promotes a draft free upward flow of air in each loose box. The steel ridge cap is non-close fitting and provides continuous ridge ventilation.
Ironmongery: Loose box doors are fitted with 4 450mm hinges, 2 200mm Brenton bolts, 1 kickover latch, lower door chew strip and 1 cabin hook. Tack room doors are fitted with 3 300mm hinges and 1 200mm Brenton holt. Loose Box windows are safety glazed with perspex and fitted with a welded mesh grill internally.
