South Benfleet & Canvey Bowls Club May 2011
The South Benfleet & Canvey Bowls Club new pavilion was completed in Spring 2011 in time for the start of the outdoor season.
A grand opening day was held in the new club house in May 2011 and was attended by over 75 people including local dignitaries, club members, suppliers and representatives from the various funding bodies.
The club laid on a superb day with a fine selection of hot and cold food which was beautifully prepared in their immaculate kitchen with drinks from the bar.
Passmores found the bowls club an absolute pleasure to deal with for the duration of the project and we wish them many years of good service from their new pavilion.
"I'm so pleased we went for single storey timber construction" said Bill Harrison, project manager - For a full report please see Spotlight, Media coverage.

Containers keep rolling from our shores June 2010
We have been supplying Garden Buildings in bulk and shipped to New Zealand for a few years now and we have just waved goodbye to the 5th container in as many months.
Our products are as well received on the other side of the world as they are here in the UK however customer requirements do differ very slightly. With the extra space available in New Zealand it is no surprise that larger Garden Rooms and Workshops are more popular than the smaller storage units and sheds.
What does not change is our commitment to supply the best quality buildings we can whilst remaining competitively priced. We take extra care when packing the containers as the 60 day journey can be quite gruelling even for a sturdy timber building. Components are double checked and then checked again and as you can see from the picture below things are fairly tight...!
New Zealand is a vast country with a population that is spread quite thinly when you leave the major cities and individual building orders can come from literally 100's of miles away. In some cases, delivery and erection of a fairly simple Garden Building can be a 3 day job..! Mind you we think you will agree when we say we would prefer this to a few hours stuck in traffic on the M25 any day of the week..!
If you own a garden centre or small retail outlet and are interested in importing quality Garden Buildings to add to your product range please contact stuart@passmores.co.uk
We are proud to announce that Passmores has been named “Medway Business of the year” for 2009.
Entries this year were the strongest in the 25 year history of the Medway Business Awards.
After being chosen as one of twelve finalists, the company was visited by a panel of judges and invited to attend a gala presentation ceremony at Gillingham FC’s Priestfields Banqueting suite.
We felt that we stood a good chance of winning an award but were surprised and delighted to be awarded first prize in this prestigious competition. We would like to thank the judges and event organisers for a hugely enjoyable evening and we hope that the Medway Business Awards goes from strength to strength.
To be recognised in this, our centenary year, makes it all the more special and we offer sincere thanks to all our staff, customers, suppliers and supporters, without whom this achievement would not have been possible.
